U10 LADY BARONS - JECH

Head Coach: Dan Jech

Started playing youth AAA Hockey at U10 for the Cleveland Barons and finished playing ACHA D1 for Youngstown State finishing 12th in the country in scoring in 2013. After college, became a level 4 Coach and began as the Head Coach of the Youngstown Phantoms AA Peewee and Bantam teams for 4 seasons.  Moved on to be the Head Coach for Youngstown State’s ACHA D2 team for one season before moving to Wooster, OH. In Wooster.  Took over the Club High School program in 2018 till present for 6 seasons. Throughout the years of coaching the older age groups, focused on progressing players to a number of AA, AAA, or Junior programs depending on the player’s individual goals.  Have also been a practice coach for all levels U10 to U14 in Wooster. With the younger age groups mainly focusing on skill development to help promote growth in the program from a younger age.  Am looking forward to being a part of the Lady Barons program.

Assistant Coach: Vic Rumph

Vic is originally from Drayton, Ontario, Canada and played Midget AA Girls Hockey for Saugeen Maitland Lighting for one season then advancing to Intermediate (U22) AA in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League and played for the Cambridge for two seasons. 

She was presented with opportunities to play NCAA DIII hockey, but chose to pursue collegiate softball where she played NCAA Division I for Youngstown State University and will be inducted into their Athletics Hall of Fame in February, 2024. She played softball for the Canadian National Team from 2013-2021, participating in multiple international events. Was a member of the 20-player athlete pool leading up to the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Played professional softball in the National Pro Fastpitch League in 2019.  Currently she is the NCAA Division III Head Softball Coach for the College of Wooster - entering 8th season.  She is also the current President of the Wooster Youth Hockey Association, assistant coach to the Wooster Club High School Team, and organization Goalie Coach.
