2012 BARONS - HARROLD

Head Coach:  Josh Harrold

Josh played for the original Junior A program in the mid 90’s under Tim Alexander. He received a scholarship to Miami University and went on to play 354 pro games in the ECHL, IHL and AHL. After his playing career, he came back home and coached the Junior Barons team for two seasons, one of which was a national qualifying team. He then moved to the USHL for two seasons with Ohio Junior Bluejackets. The next stop was two more seasons in Alpena with their NAHL team. He returned home to coach the Midget Minor Barons for a season, and then went on to be the assistant coach of the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.  He previously took the 2006 Barons to the National Championships.  This will be his sixth season coaching with the Cleveland Barons.


2012 BARONS - PILKENROTH

Head Coach:  Mark Pilkenroth

Mark is a Toronto native who grew up in Toronto playing AAA in the MTHL (GTHL) as a goalie, as well as playing in California. He began coaching in the mid 2000’s, in Ohio and then California. In California Mark also spent time working privately with youth and adult players on specific skill development. His primary coaching focus is teaching how to master mental training for hockey, including mental and emotional preparation, and toughness. Outside of hockey, Mark has a background in event production, marketing, motivational and public speaking. Mark moved back to Ohio last year with his family as his son joined the Barons Elite program, and he then joined the Barons organization in an assistant coaching capacity with the 2012 Black team. This will be his second season coaching with the Barons.
