Competing to the finals was not an easy road, as the semi-final game went into a 5-minute overtime period with no winner crowned. The semi-final win was sealed with a 12 round sudden death shootout to take down the #1 seed in the tournament. Barons U10 had two full teams attend the 216 Tournament series in December. It was a busy month for the Cleveland Lady Barons U14 Black team with 12 games, including its home 216 tournament. At the 216 Tournament, results did not go the team's way just missing out on an appearance in the final. However, the team had a stellar performance in a 1-0 loss against the eventual winners, Glenview Stars, from Illinois. The team has also played district rivals, Erie Jr. Lady Otters, Pittsburgh Arctic Foxes, and the North Pittsburgh Wildcats coming out with a .500 record in those games. There have been big performances from goaltenders, Ashlyn Ramos and Bridget Kristo as well as leading goal scorers Rose Sewall and Sydney Miller. Captains were also announced. Lauren Esposito and Alyssa Kraig will wear the “C’s” while Rose Sewall and Brynn Baskin will wear the “A’s”.
